UJA’s Tuition Assistance Program

Each year, UJA Federation runs North America’s largest day school affordability program.  A $19M system (of which UJA funds $10M) supporting 2,300 students across 14 schools.  Recognizing the impact of COVID-19, we expect that both the number of students and the total need will grow. This system is designed for families who required assistance in the past and will require financial assistance in the future. Families submit applications which include full financial statements, tax returns, evaluation of assets, etc. through UJA’s Jewish Community Affordability Platform. Recognizing that a family’s current need may not be reflected by tax documentation, for 2020/21, the application will ask families to describe their changed circumstances and calculations will adjust accordingly. UJA’s Tuition Assistance Program is funded through UJA’s Annual Campaign and partner day schools.
