UJA’s Emergency Scholarships

Families experiencing short-term financial difficulties who paid full tuition in 2019/20 or who are new to the school will be eligible for UJA’s Emergency Scholarships. The application, which asks for a demonstration of changed financial circumstances, current monthly income, and an estimate of what the family can pay in tuition, will be sent directly to the school for approval. Based on an algorithm, the maximum scholarship will be 50 percent of tuition. Recognizing the quickly changing financial picture, recipients will have a Fall check-in to determine if/how their need has changed.

In addition to grants, families receiving UJA’s Emergency Scholarships will be pre-approved for an interest free loan of up to $12,000. These scholarships will be funded by UJA’s Emergency Campaign for Community resilience as well as partner day schools.
